Nice table, real workhorse. But near 6 months was ready to try something different. When I went to trade in the Technics I saw the TD 320. I was asking the guys at the store about it and they weren't very familiar with that particular Thorens model. They suggested using my trade in for a new Project or Music Hall TT.

Made between 88-91, leaf springs, MDF plinth. Sounds like it might have the TP-90 arm that was introduced in 88 but not sure. An interesting document was the 1992 price list. The TD-320MKIII was US$819.95 while the TD-520MKII was US$1579.95.

I currently run a TD 2001 which was similar in design and enjoy it too. I prefer the leaf spring suspension in these tables over the earlier designs too.

The Thorens gives great bass and clean midrange. However the top is a little thin, and not very detailed. (compared to highend products). The Thorens 320 MK II/III is easy to match with cartridges, and I have used the following cartridges with success: Ortofon MC20S-II, Audio Technica OC9, OC10 and OC30.
